BTW: James and I moved into a 2-bedroom apartment in North Slope, Brooklyn. It's a rad neighborhood. So, the only thing nasty about it are the one or two roaches a week (which I will make short work of), and the loud neighbor above us. (More on that later.) James pays only 35$ more a month than he did for the rotten studio, and I pay 2/3 less that I did at the loft. Free heat and hot water, the strip a block away, a HUGE Keyfoods a little ways off.

anyway, i have a couple of errands to do before i return home to ifrit and my roach genocide vendetta.
i miss my jimmy.
i started using this product called 'combat'. it comes in little two-inch square black plastic containers. you put the containers around the house (particularly, the kitchen and bathroom, of course). there's no insecticide to spray and poison yourself. the roaches walk inside the containers, pick up some "food" and take it back to the nest. you only have to change the containers every 3, 6, or 12 months (depending on which ones you buy). they seem to be working for me. anyway, i'm guessing you should be able to find it in your grocery store, which is where i got it.

i thought about that, but I was worried that the cat would get into it. so, i have the spray and the "non-toxic" roach motels. the roach motels are making my apt smell like...well, it's not bad, but it's not good.
If there are no roaches checked in by Friday, im gonna toss em.
i would read the label, of course, but they look pretty pet safe. they are black plastic with very small entrances. i guess they are a variation on the roach motel, except they roaches aren't expected to die inside them. my guess is that you'll need something pretty much all the time. also, keeping everything clean and dry, putting away all food, helps. they'll leave if there is no food or water, but you're trapped by your neighbors habits.
