this weekend was full and wonderful. I was estatic, of course, to see my baby on Friday night. We were both extremely exhausted, so we bought tofu dogs and watched a movie, snuggling, cuddling, and napping until bedtime. I had to go to sleep early to get up at 6:30am on Saturday morning. My volunteer orientation for Adoptions Counseling at the ASPCA was scheduled from 9am to 5:30pm. I was excited and not sleepy. I took the express train and arrived at 92nd street only 35 minutes after I left Brooklyn. The orientation class was all women and one guy. All walks of life. All IQ levels. It was good to see the social climber sitting next to the gal with tight pants and large gold earrings. Anyway, I went through the general class, dog/cat behavior, adoptions overview, and the dogwalking course. I'm so excited to start. I'm hoping to begin this week at some time. I left a message with the volunteer coordinator this morning, will bug her again if she doesnt call me by the ned of lunch. In any event, I got home around 6:45 and was starving, yet cheap and lazy, so we made spag and salad and rented this HORRIBLE move (the Salton Sea) and lazed about. Sunday was WONDERFUL. Woke up early (as I always do now), bought an eg and cheese sandwich from the Bageltique on 5th. We spent the morning walking around the park until we arrived at the Boat House. They have these cute little tables set up outside this palace-looking bird center. It's called the boathouse because you can take this little half an hour cruise around the park in an electric boat for 3$ right there. Anyways, it was a warm overcast morning, so we bought a NY times and some coffee and a cannoli and wasted the morning and early afternoon. Right when we left, it rained, so we sat on the rocks, under the trees, near a creek until it stopped and we could walk home. Lunch. Nap. Dinner. Worked on Jimmy's resume and he procrastinated and chewed on my arm.
Hes trying to get an earthlink connection on my mac this morning. If I can get that working, I might be able to update my site once again. I dont have oculus for the mac, so the webcamming/ webcasting is still a bit off. but, yeah. we're working on it.
