Sydney is great... even in winter.
And we have plenty of public olympic size swimming pools!

you can swim all year in las vegas(outside).

your single line, says a lot, like, after a cold damp winter, summer is hot and humid, and probably you had a truly unique New York moment. I hope you have a better day.

i know what you mean. after losing my job, and almost losing my house, living in seattle weather for months and being bitch slapped by mayor bumberg left and right it hardly seems worth living here anymore.if it weren't for my friends i'd be out of here. griffy

im sorry to hear it griffy! i know a lot of people are considering the benefits of living here, and really thinking that they are getting far and few between. sounds like you have had a run of bad luck, not to mention that Seattle weather. ICK!!!! I hope things start to look a little brighter for you soon.

Florida has swimming all year long, but I'm afraid you would find the people way too slow. It's also hot and humid as hell!

nyc yes/no
I hate it here, and guess I always have, with the possible exception of the first couple of weeks when it was sort of exciting.

What is the use of all this stuff if you have to be independently wealthy (or at least a well-heeled yuppie) to enjoy it?

I don't know whether the moneyed loudmouths or the bluecollar loudmouths are more obnoxious. But I do know that I'm tired of garbage and not being able to see the stars at night.
