Huh, the MRI and the X-ray revealed NOTHING wrong. This is good news to the extent that now we know that i DO NOT have bursitis, rotator cuff tears, or the pulling back of the cartiledge lip. (i forgot the technical term on that last one). I now have to do these specific weight exercises for a week, and I have another follow-up next Thursday. If I have no improvement, then I must start going to physical therapy. I cant afford this latter option, even if it is only $15/ session. That gets expensive if one does it 2-3 times a week. So, Im hoping the weights work. For now, I'll have to use my water-filled gatorade bottles that I use for morning juice. At some point, I'll buy those weights I wanted from Amazon. They looked pretty nice.
Yesh, so it appears to be an overuse injury: mild tendonitis and general shoulder instability only. So, I must ice after workouts (which I do anyway), and take some Aleve or Motrin if the pain is getting in the way (again, which I do anyway). The weight exercises will strengthen and tighten the rotator cuff even more than the isometrics I was doing. The Dr. showed me just how loose my joints were. If I put my index finger on the joint (the front part, where you feel the divit), and pull my arm down, I can almost fit my finger under the bone. nice.
