Garden! These aren't art, just me showing off the garden...which is looking pretty barren, unfortunately. I didn't plan well for fall flowers, but so much progress has been made since July that I can't complain.

If you're standing on the porch and looking to the left, this is the view. The fence is 6 feet high, so that makes the monster rose bush...i dunno, 12 feet high? This is growth since the end of August. I'd pruned it back to the wood at 3-4 ft.

This is the view at the back of the garden, looking towards the porch and apt. The birds are just barely discovering my feeder. Dave says he saw a cardinal, but I've seen no activity. Hopefully, when it gets cold, I'll have more feathered friends. On the right is a butterfly bush. On the left, a burning bush (not yet burning!) and the ornamental grass in the distant left.

View from the porch.

The left side of the porch. Im going to hang those boxes in the spring and fill them with strawberries.

Ifrit, lay off the booze!

Looks like the perfect sanctuary away from NYC traffic and crowds. Very nice.

I tried strawberries this year but the birds got 90% of them.

Do the cats go outside? Is the yard fully fenced in?

:) the garden is fully fenced. the cats are not allowed outside. fleas can be rampant and i dont want to deal with indoor fumigation. Both are rather helpless too, being indoor cats their entire lives. Ifrit is a pussy and KT is physically disadvantaged.
